Tom Watson, our Principal Consultant in Leadership Training was a corporate executive with over 30 years of experience and led several multi-national organizations and start-up companies in Asia.
Most recently he was the President for the Asia Pacific Region of KPG, a Kodak affiliated company doing business in the commercial printing industry and headed up this company from its start up in 1998, moving it from an initial loss position to one of being a major contributor to the returns of KPG world wide. After joining Eastman Kodak in 1974 he enjoyed various corporate experiences while serving in positions in engineering, distribution, market research, and product management. These roles prepared Tom well for his 15 years experience in Asia where he honed his senior management skills while working and living in Singapore and South Korea. As the GM of Kodak’s subsidiary in Korea he led the organization to record results and was selected to establish and lead a start-up subsidiary company covering China, Korea, India, Australia, and the countries of Southeast Asia.
Tom excelled in his leadership as the Regional President of this multi-cultural organization and decided to start his own business consulting company, headquartered in Singapore, in 2006. Tom’s greatest interest is to share his leadership experience with managers faced with the challenge of leading organizations and teams in multi-cultural environments.
In addition to his significant corporate experience, Tom had a parallel career in the U.S. Army. After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1969 he proceeded to serve in various roles on active Army duty for 5 years during the Vietnam War era.
